Mobile App Development

Win more customers, subscribers, leads, visitors, orders and members by adding a mobile application to your business.

Mobile app users are demanding and increasingly sophisticated. Noticeably, most app users will delete an app because they don’t like how it looks, how it works, how long it takes to do things with it, or how much space it takes up on their device.

Engaging users so they continue using your mobile app means that excellent UI/UX is essential, and there’s ample research that points to the significant return on investment of UI/UX.

What’s a native app?

A Native app is an app built with the native language of the device on which it will be installed. The app is fast, smooth and delivers outstanding user experience. The Web Silo team builds iOS and Android apps which are 100% native.

What is a PWA?

A PWA – Progressive Web App operates within a browser. It combines the best of web concepts and mobile apps. The Web Silo generates Progressive Web Apps with Angular JS 4.0. On mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop, they offer a one-of-a-kind user experience.

Do I own the content you create on the app?

You are the sole owner of the content created on your app and it will remain so.

Does my app function offline?

Yes, the native app as well as the PWA. Upon first launching the app, the content is cached, thus allowing later usage offline. The native app relies on iOS or Android’s SDK features while the PWA relies on the service worker set up in the browser. PWA’s work offline in all browsers except for Safari.

Can I set up a domain name for my web app?

Yes, all domain extensions are managed. You can assign a domain name to your PWA and your users will thus access it through the URL of your choice.

How long does it take to create my app?

One to Two Months

How long does it take for my app to be online?

For a Play Store publication, you can count on about 24 hours. The iOS version of your app is built and published by us, under your Apple developer account or we can publish it under ours as well. In order to ensure that your project complies with the App Store guidelines, our teams run a thorough review of your app before getting started with the submission process. This step, which is mandatory before submitting to the App Store, requires human intervention. We are committed to carrying out this step within 72 business hours. Apple may take several days to review your application and publish it in the App Store. Your PWA will be accessible from your domain name just a few hours after it has been set up.

If I stop paying does my app get taken off the App Store and Google Play?

In order for the app to maintain an active status with our host servers and systems that power it and therefore function properly, you must maintain an active subscription. There is a monthly cost for upkeep, server space, app plugin maintenance, content changes, and more.

The Web Silo team handles all of your server maintenance, CDNs, push notification systems, user login/authentication uptime, OS updates, design updates, the ability to request design updates, and more with the monthly subscription. It’s a pretty darn good deal if you ask us 🙂

Are there any additional costs besides my subscription plan?

In order to get you app live on the App Store and Google Play, both Apple and Google require that you have your own Apple and Google developer accounts, respectively. To date, Google has a onetime fee of $25 and Apple is a yearly fee of $99 for a standard account or $299 for an enterprise account. If you are a non-profit organization, government entity, or educational institution, you may be eligible to get a free standard account.

To by-pass this extra fee your app can be published on The Web Silo’s developer account on the App Store and Google Play store.

What’s your refund policy?

We don’t offer pro-rated refunds for monthly subscriptions for services already provided. If you’ve paid for an annual subscription and wish to cancel, we’ll issue a refund for the remaining months of your subscription.

Please note, however, if you cancel your service, your app will no longer function and will be removed from the App Store and Google Play per our terms.
